  • Community Health Partnerships Research Published
    A study commissioned by the Scottish Government to consider the early progress of Community Health Partnerships was published on 7th May. This research ran from February 2009 to March 2010 and identifies factors which have facilitated or possibly hindered progress and identifies ways in which CHPs’ capacity and capability can be improved to maximise their potential.
  • The Office of Public Guardian (Scotland)
    “The Office of the Public Guardian has a general function to supervise those individuals who have been appointed to manage the financial or property affairs of an adult who lacks the capacity to do so for themselves.”
  • Pathways for Support for Vulnerable Families in Scotland
    NHS Quality Improvement Scotland is consulting on a Framework looking at pathways for support for vulnerable families in Scotland. The framework will help implement or improve local pathways within and across various service settings. The consultation is open until 11th June.
  • Proactive, Planned and Coordinated: Care Management in Scotland
    The Scottish Government Health Delivery Directorate Improvement and Support Team has published this guidance document to support the implementation of a Proactive, Planned and Coordinated approach to the care of people with complex or frequently changing health and social care needs.

  • Community Care Works
    “Community Care Works continues the research, policy and teaching activities initially developed with funding from the Nuffield Trust within The Nuffield Centre for Community Care Studies. The focus is on the evaluation, promotion and dissemination of community care policy and practice. There is a commitment to a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency perspective.”
  • The Glasgow Centre for the Child and Society

  • Glasgow Council for the Voluntary Sector’s Employers’ Advice Service
    “The EAS offers advice, information and briefing sessions on every aspect of being or becoming an employer. The Employers Advice Service is subscription-based, providing telephone and face-to-face advice and consultancy to managers, CEOs and board members.”
  • Institution for Research and Innovation in Social Services (IRISS)

  • The Mental Health Collaborative Programme
    The Mental Health Collaborative Newsletter aims to provide a regular source of information on the work of the Mental Health Collaborative. A lot of improvement work is happening across the mental health service in Scotland and this newsletter will provide an overview of both local and national initiatives.   • Scottish Child Law Centre (SCLC)

  • Scottish Institute for Residential Child Care (SIRCC)

  • Scottish Social Services Learning Network West

  • Service User and Carer Group
    The Service User and Carer Group “are a group of volunteers with experience of using social work services or caring for someone who uses social work services.  The network was formed in 2006 with the aim of influencing the training of social work students.  The network is doing this by raising awareness of service user and carer issues.”
