Collaborative Working – The Legal Considerations

The Housing Support Enabling Unit has joined forces with the Voluntary Sector
Social Services Workforce Unit, Community Care Providers Scotland and the
Glasgow Social Care Providers Forum to set up a half day seminar to consider
the legal issues relating to the various models of collaboration.
The seminar will be delivered by Maclay, Murray & Spens solicitors in both
Edinburgh and in Glasgow.
Objectives -
to equip service providers to evaluate options for collaborative working in
terms of their legal implications
to provide an insight into the preparatory work required before entering
into a collaborative working arrangement
to provide an insight into good governance arrangements associated with
different models of collaboration
to provide an opportunity for participants to raise any ‘burning questions’
Target audience –
Senior staff of voluntary and private sector social care providers and local
authority commissioners of social care services
