I set up Applied Care and Development (ACAD) in 2001, which now provides residential care for children, young people and also a family residential service. I have an extensive social care background spanning 16 years and, as a qualified social worker, have worked in settings such as children’s mental health units within the NHS as well as holding senior management posts in various private children’s social care organisations.

I am passionate about ensuring that young people, families and staff receive the highest level of quality of service from the organisation and am actively involved with all aspects of the services on a daily basis.

In addition (my spare time), I also run a family business and am involved in working with an African Charity, looking at setting up new schools and developing skills within the communities.
