Social care in Scotland and the UK is going through an unparalleled period of change. Everything about this field of activity - structure, processes, funding, systems, delivery mechanisms and even the understanding of what it is trying to achieve- is now the subject of new proposals and policies. Yet the task faced by GSCPF members remains ever constant in the delivery of quality care and support services in the changing demography of Glasgow communities.
The principles of participation, representation and influence of GSCPF at strategic levels of commissioning, development and decision-making has continued to be present in Glasgow Social Work’s (GSW) language and good practice.
